Baskin-Robbins Coming to Pakistan, First Outlet at Packages Mall, Lahore

Baskin-Robbins is finally coming to Pakistan. A few days back I spotted a Baskin-Robbins “Coming Soon” banner at Packages Mall in Lahore. Posted the picture online in a few food groups and saw a HUGE response on it. There seems to be a big number of Baskin-Robbins fans in Pakistan and people look forward to the brand launching their restaurants in Pakistan.

Previously, a couple of eateries offered Baskin-Robbins ice-creams at their restaurants in Pakistan but they were over-prized and never fresh with only a few selected flavours available. Well, the official outlets are coming soon now!

As more cinemas are opening up in Pakistan every year, there is a need for an online one-stop shop for buying movie tickets. Out of several cinemas in just the city of Lahore, only CineStar offers an online portal but you need to go through a registration process that cannot be done directly from home. No more hassle of visiting the cinema just to book your seats for an awesome upcoming movie that you want to watch three days later.

PTCL Launches CharJi EVO LTE Tab for Rs. 25,000

PTCL-CharJi-EVO-1

PTCL, one of the biggest telecom operator in Pakistan, has just launched a new 4G LTE tablet — the CharJi EVO. This is the second Android tablet from PTCL, the previous one was PTCL 3G EVO Tab. CharJi EVO tablet brings the faster Internet speeds of 4G LTE in a phablet-sized device that allows you to browse the Internet, enjoy full navigation, watch movies and live TV — and also make phone calls. The price of CharJi EVO tablet is just PKR 25,000 (USD $250) and comes bundled with an attractive package and features.

CharJi EVO tablets are manufactured by GadgeIT. The feature set completely justifies the price tag — it comes with a 6.98-inch display screen, 1.2 GHz quadcore processor, 2GB RAM, has an 8 megapixels camera at the back and a 3300 mAh battery for up to 7 hours of usage. This tablet is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat — this should have been atleast Lollipop in my opinion.
